Adam Lambert Pastikan Ganti Posisi Freddie Mercury di Queen

Jakarta - Finalis American Idol, Adam Lambert akhirnya mengkonfirmasi kabar bahwa dirinya menggantikan posisi Fredie Mercury di band Queen. Adam akan tampil bersama band legendaris tersebut di acara musik Sonisphere Festival pada 7 Juli mendatang.

"Seperti banyak dugaan orang, akhirnya saya bisa konfirmasi bahwa saya telah diundang oleh Queen untuk nyanyi bersama dalam konser yang sangat istimewa," kata Adam lewat akun Twitter-nya seperti dilansir AceShowBiz, Rabu (22/2/2012).

Rumor tersebut telah berhembus sejak awal bulan Februari. Namun penyanyi kelahiran 29 Januari 1982 yang terkenal lewat lagu "For Your Entertainment" itu sempat membantahnya.

"Maaf untuk bantahan beberapa minggu yang lalu, tapi saya memang telah berjanji untuk merahasiakannya semampu saya," katanya.

Personel Queen Brian May dan Roger Taylor sudah beberapa kali pentas bersama Adam. Termasuk ketika Adam masih berkompetisi di American Idol. Yang terbaru, mereka tampil bersama di MTV EMA di Belfast November lalu
